So I've been working on a skin for a 3d model for a game I'm working on for school. Since I'm not very experienced when it comes to art I would really appreciate any advice or help to make the texture look more aesthetically pleasing.

I'm only putting details in the face because I'm going to add clothes over the body later on.

He does look a little pale:)

You can try sampling a skin texture from a photo to get the color right. Often in games in comes down to the material more than any single texture. Try adding some bump, normal, specular, or emissive maps. Also look into "sub surface scattering", It's not something done to much in games, but a little reading up on it may help you to understand the effect you are looking for. And why human skin is such a hard texture to reproduce.

Also it appears from the image that you are applying different materials to the faces of the model to color it. If that's the case, the first thing I'd suggest is to lay out some uv's and start painting.

Good luck on your project.
