Also I was pretty excited about gw2 too, but I saw a video of some group combat and it looks way too cluttered. You really can't tell what's going on so there can't be a lot of strategy. I got excited about all the different elementalist abilities and the potential behind swapping weapons and attunements in battle, but I'm starting to think there won't be all that much strategy

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Watch some of the PvP footage of ArenaNet playing against some of the bigger clans, for instance, and you'll realize plenty quick that there is a lot of strategy involved. It looks pretty frenetic, and I'll be the first to grant you that it can be hard to track what's going on sometimes, but once you get into the game and learn a good chunk of the nuances, it's very subtle and highly tactical.

YMMV, of course, but IMHO it's one of the more entertaining RPGs I've ever played.

Wielder of the Sacred Wands
[Work - ArenaNet] [Epoch Language] [Scribblings]

Being an EVE player, Dust 514 naturally. Oh, and Diablo III of course.

I don't get excited about games anymore until they come out, too much disappointment.

That being said, I am really hoping that Planetside 2 doesn't suck, because I really liked the first one.

Or you can just get us all in the beta and we can find out for ourselves. <_<
