Re-posted from John Hattan's blog in case anyone here missed it:
Until feb 29th, Daz3d are having a FREE giveaway of Daz Studio 4 Pro, Bryce 7 Pro and Hexagon 2.5. Excellent opportunity for anyone without a lot to spend looking for some good software.
Hope that helps guys!
3 free software packages from Daz3d till end of Feb
Anyone with experience with these pieces of software care to comment on their uses and strengths/weaknesses?
I used to muck around with Bryce back when it came on MacWorld cover CDs (I'm dating myself, I know), but I haven't ever tried the other two.

I'm not a 3d modeler, but i have used hexagon before. As someone with no modeling experience i had no problems getting started and creating what i wanted.
The major drawback is that you are unable to create renders.
Thanks for the heads up about the giveaway.
