Hey, I'm a student at digital arts and entertainment and would like to have some critique on my entry for my milestone at the academy.
We had to make a cityscene on a round tile with tileable textures. We were givin a list of cities to chose from, I chose Bastia in Corsica.
The maximum polycount was around 20000, my cityscene has:
-poly's: 9834
-tri's: 13256

The pics are a bit small, the animation is very fast and the camera angles could do some work (they're too much time "above" the block) to make a meaningful critique.
The street's feel slightly empty, try adding some props like trash bins.
Btw What's the texture size? Are you using normal maps, specular maps, etc?
What SW are you using?
Overall very good, people visiting GD.Net tend to be more technical oriented (it's a shame though, as game development is highly interdisciplinary), so you'll probably get more constructive critique at CgSociety or PolyCount. Nevertheless keep us posted
