Big logistics problem as well, they had IBM helping them manage all the complexity. Even then they knew the benefits computing can bring.

The country did really great, they invented first modern computer, space flight and were renowned for having developed the most advanced armored and submersible vehicles of the time. Some of their greatest minds were later put in charge of Apollo space program and Manhattan project, they also advanced physics into concepts of relativity and quantum mechanics.

Take this video for example. The people in this video have clear and profound problems. Any children they would have raised would have lived a miserable life and would have had to live off welfare. Plus there is no telling the abuse they would have under went. Seeing as I live in NC I can tell you now I know several parents like these people and all of their children have suffered greatly at the hands of their retarded parents.

Where will we get women? The tech/science fields are mostly male dominated.

Obviously we would have to make sure there is a balanced male to female ratio and aim to meet that goal by filling other predominately female positions such a nursing. Heck we could even have an incredibly lopsided immigration policy which favors beautiful women and have a much higher female to male ratio. That is just what I would vote for but I'm sure once there is a majority of females a much fairer immigration policy would take effect.

I don't think politicians are a particular kind of person of course they are citizens like any others.

My try is just to say that they are probably more qualified than us to know how to handle this due to mainly 2 reasons : 1) they have generally education background in this fields (For instance, "Sciences Politiques" school, laywer education, History knowledge, Art of Diplomacy, etc ....) (it helps I don't mean at all politics are reserved to an educated [s]elit[/s]) ,and, 2) essentially, because they are adviced by a lot of people with awesome background and skills and submitted to government approbations.

When I say even them are not qualified I don't mean they are incompetent, I mean that is such an awfully difficult task and responsability than even a whole government oftenly fails to do it properly. (I wonder if it's not one of the most difficult thinkable human activity ?)

Just because mommy and daddy are brilliant programmers doesn't mean their kids are going to have any interest or skill in the field. So what happens if you get too few skilled talent types being raised, and too many low skills?

I thought about this a while ago. To make an actual place like this you set an age limit for entry and if you have kids you're deported back to your home country. It seemed obvious to me when playing Bioshock that a closed system is flawed for the very reasons listed. It allows unwanted elements in it. The power of deportation helps to filter that.
