I'm looking to sell a game and I need a solution to accept credit card payments that involves a merchant account (NOT paypal). Googling leads to overwhelming results, none of which appear to be targeted to people selling their games.
I need something that has the tools necessary to remember tie payments to a registration key and other information in my database (such as login info and security question). I feel this would be a fairly common requirement for programmers and small companies selling their games.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm sure this would be useful general information for anyone. (I couldn't find a way to search this forum for an answer.)
Looking for a merchant account + gateway solution
I did a lot of research on this for a childrens virtual world that I worked on a year ago or so and the top dog overall that I came up with was www.adyen.com after that I'd recommend: http://www.vindicia.com/
These were more companies to handle microtransactions but they might work for you.
