What's a thorough texture/mapping tutorial for 3DS Max (2010)?
I've tried following a few older tutorials but I seem to get lost at some points, and things don't really seem to work out.
Yea, but also exporting them and then importing and the like. When I tried to unwrap and export the model wouldn't display the texture.
Hi, still trying to get it right? To be clear, did you just add the modifier or go into it and spread out the polys on the uv grid? If you just added it or used one of the primitive projection options it might just come out grey or something similar. Also, you shouldn't really have to export anything from the uv window itself if that's what you mean. The uvw layout will be saved with the file and exported within most 3d formats.
