After digging through some posts in another forum, someone pointed to this: http://www.ymck.net/...plug/index.html - freeware VST plugin (the page is in japanese but you can find download links at the bottom).  

Last I checked, FruityLoops Studio wasn't free, and in fact was rather expensive.

Which is exactly why I was posting links to free alternatives.
