Hi and sorry about the faulty description line,

I'm on the lookout for good remote backup software. My requirements are quite simple:

  • It should be able to handle remote backups, to a single server or more.
  • It should be able to filter files based on extension, and this should be handled on the server.
  • Backups should be incremental, ie you only upload changed data.
I looked at different Version Control systems, but SubVersion and CVS can't handle filtering out extensions. Some of their client programs let you do it, but that's not what I'm looking for and is too much work when something changes and there are a number of clients involved.

    Any suggestions?
I use two forms of backup. The first is http://www.carbonite.ca/

The second is http://www.kls-soft.com/klsbackup/

I use KLS Backup to filter what I want, and carbonite dumps it to the cloud.
