I would hate to be duplicated. The original, which would be "me", would cease to exist. Both are identical in every way up to that point, so couldn't it logically be argued neither could be held as the original and, instead, both would indeed be the exact copy of the original. Interesting, how would one deal with that? Say using the stargate, or similar portal device, two persons emerged instead of one - which would you take home? Which would be able to continue with life as normal and which would be, err, starting over? I guess?
