Discolored Textures

My textures (which are all 24bit), appear discolored when in fullscreen mode, they appear much brighter than they should, Is thi a problem with gamma setttings or something? if so , how to fix? Thanks in Advance
More information would help a lot. Are you using DirectDraw, OpenGL, Allegro, or what? You might want to try it on another computer before you edit your code to see if it has anything to do with the monitor or video card. It does sound like a gamma problem, though.

Im using Opengl, the problem occurs when using 3dfx in full screen, How would i go about correcting the gamma problem
