[font="Verdana"]I'm doing a college assignment at the moment. I've answered most of the other questions but this one I cant figure out. I hate asking but its very important that I get as high a mark as possible so I was hoping someone might know how to do it:

[font="Verdana"]Given the following nodes:

[font="Verdana"]< X , { { A1 , A2 , A3 } , { A2 , A5 , A7 } , { A3 , A7 } } >
[font="Verdana"]< Y , { { A4 , A6 } , { A5 } , { A1 , A2 , A3 , A4 } } >
[font="Verdana"]< Z , { { A7 } } >

[font="Verdana"](A) What would be the resulting nodes for V and W given the following rules:

[font="Verdana"]if X and Y then V

[font="Verdana"]if V and Z then W

[font="Verdana"](b ) Using the results of a) what will be the new labels of the nodes for V, W, X, Y and Z if the following node is now added:

[font="Verdana"]< FALSE , { { A2, A7 } }
You have to assume that we are infinitely intelligent and infinitely ignorant. In other words, I have no idea what you are talking about.

You must also note the forum rules on answering homework. Unless you are willing to show your work towards an answer, and ask specific questions, it's against board policy for anyone to hand you an answer to the asignment.

Damnit Will! Would you quit posting shit that is so obviously a convoluted academic solution when all he is asking for is a simple answer to his homework? Sheesh. Some people! rolleyes.gif

I know I know... next time I'll keep it more brief. ;)
