[size="4"]The objective here is to add a paragraph or two to the story here.

The rules: no self-destruct, suicide, or otherwise killing off the main character and prematurely ending the story. Otherwise everything else is fair game.

The scope: The main character in the story is amnesiac and is regaining his memories by visiting random places. At these places, old friends and foes will try to guide him or derail him from the truth, but always give him some bit of truth.

Several days have passed since the guerilla faction launched an offensive. The smell of charred wood and scorched corpses permeated through the jungle. Villagers who survived the attack warily peeked through the bush. The guerillas left a few men behind to random patrols in the area. Shouts could be heard from various areas. Most of the time triggered by a rustle from the trees or snap of a twig. The wildlife were surprisingly bold and mobile after the attack. The guerillas spent more time hunting game than finding survivors. One guerilla spotted a panther, 75 meters south from his position. The panther stopped short of the river. The guerilla saw that something caught the panther's eye. Nervous, the guerilla aimed its rifle at the panther. Wiping the sweat off his brow to get better aim, the guerilla lowered himself just behind a tree. What sounded like twigs snapped suddenly. The guerilla fell. A surprised expression permanently etched on his face. The rifle and the guerilla falls in opposite directions. A man picks up the rifle. He came out from behind the tree, dragging his swollen, broken leg behind him. The wounds from his side and arms left fresh blood trails. A whistle shot out. The panther shot from his position nearly intoxicated from the fresh blood scent lingering in the air.

As the panther rushed forth with teeth dripping with hunger-induced saliva, two more whistles shot out. Then a loud blast followed by the sound of a collapsing tree. The blast plowed into the earth to the left of the panther. The already injured man fell to one knee. The panther hurled into the sky yelping a painful, yet pitiful roar. The earth rumbled with such intensity. Natives ran and screamed far and wide. Every tremor silenced two or three screams, prematurely. The man unable to walk, much less crawl just laid there. Blood profusely escaping his leg. Soon his eyes felt heavy. As they closed, the very last thing he saw was a bright red flame descending upon him.

"Okay, my little princess, that's all for tonight. Now it's time for you to sleep.", the tribesman said in a whisper. The young girl full of fury did not respond. Yet shot a death stare at the tribesman expressing her utter disappointment. "In the morning, before sunbreak, you start training. Be sure to get your rest now. As you will not get any for many hours after.", the tribesman reminded the young girl with a smirk.

edit: Removed "girl" due to readers' request.

Your first sentence says: The main character in the story is amnesiac and is regaining his memories by visiting random places. At these places, old friends and foes will try to guide him or derail him from the truth, but always give him some bit of truth.

His is underlined. Now you have mentioned a little girl? Is the little girl with the tribesman or the main character a female and not a man? Please clarify. Thanks. It threw me off.

This story is awful. It ends after just a few paragraphs. Why did you do this? I am disappointed.
Ok, you can add to the story. Now. Thanks.

Oh, i'm so in on this.

Suddenly, a bright flash of light woke the man up. Thinking he had been given another chance in life, he tried to stand up with every muscle in his body, but something was wrong. No matter how hard the poor man tried, he could not manage to move even a single inch. It was like an immense weight was pushing him down... holding him down. There was no use to struggle, so the man surrendered to his fate. But as the bright light slowly vanished, he started to regain his eyesight. Everything was out of focus at first, but slowly he could begin to distinguish the environment around him. The frist thing that caught his attention was the fact that he was no longer in the jungle. Rough metal platings coverd the walls of a very small room. The floor was dirty and at some places, old bloodstains made their appearances. While trying to figure our why he couldn't feel some of his limbs, he looked down, only to find something terrifying. Plastic sheets covered him, with tubes and wires sticking out all around. Chocked, and filled with fear, the man made another attempt to stand up. The result was as before, non existant. But he quickly discovered the reaon. He was strapped down.

The feeling of being held against once will, in a completly foreign environment, made the man panick. Loud screams left him with nothing but a soar throat, and the attempts to brake loose left fresh scars. Abruptly, a part of the wall opened up and a female rushed in.
- "Sir, please stay calm! You must stay calm!"
The womans petitions had no effect on the man, who now was completly out of control.
- "Sedate it." Said a man's voice, seemingly out of nowhere.
And the woman was fast to follow his orders. The man stoped shaking, and his eye's slowly started to close.
- "You think it worked?" The woman sounded both exciting and pitiful.
- "Lily, of course. Let's head back and figure out how to tell our boss his cyborg is finaly operational.".
Omg, zombie! Zomgbie.
What seemed to be weeks passed. Voices could be heard fading in and out. The clanging of steel repeatedly echoed in the distant background. In this man's mind, the darkness at times gave way to a thick fog. Both gave no direction. No position. A void, where even walking felt alien and out of place. The man too exasperated to even bother to feel helpless relented to his fate. If this was hell, then it was not as bad as the tele-evangelists made it seem. A deep stillness came upon the man. Resistance, concern, worry. None of those things mattered. The end was an eternal void. He would come to accept this fate, this place.

"Get me 30 ccs of adrenaline! Now!"

"Yes, yes, on ......"

"Move your ass! This isn't show and tell!"

What was a cold, desolate space, became a violent torrent of pain, horrific memories, and inaudible shrieking. Suddenly the man felt pain shooting through his heart as it raced through his limbs. The agony too much to bear caused him to claw at his chest. A vain attempt to rip out his own chest bore some relief. The space seemingly vast and endless quickly constricted. His new world filled with life. Life that was fueled by a pure torturous energy. A fire that was unseen but ever present. It scorched through his body as if it was napalm.

"Strap him down! Call the guards and ready the staves!"

The man nearly blinded by light roared with a rage he had never experienced before. Every scream a call to end his misery. He shook rabidly trying to claw at his heart. His arms inexplicably tethered to his side. Pain became desperation. The way to salvation was to have his heart beat in his hand.

"The staves! Now! Now!"

The man jolted from his bed causing it to actually leave the ground. After a foot of flight both man and bed came crashing down. The man laid on the ruined, shattered bed. A piece of the bedpost had pierced his leg. The nurses rushed in to clean up the area. The doctors quickly started to analyze the data. The doctor in charge left the room silently.

"What happened? Is he dead?", a short, stubby man wearing a brown overcoat inquired.

"I'm not sure. But I doubt it. However you can go in there and see for yourself. Just drooling and spazzing.", the head doctor tiredly replied.

"Higher-ups expect the prototype caught up by next week.", the man said.

"Of course. Before you leave can you give this rabbit I just pulled out my ass to higher-ups as well? Since you're on your way back.", the doctor retorted with a smug look and disgusted tone.

"Well at least they finally got that stick out your ass.", the man replied while chuckling.

The short, stubby man slowly yet deliberately walked down the hall. The head doctor sneered as she cursed under her breath. This was the 5th such incident in almost as many days. Three patients all with the same modifications. The technology too new to give any guarantees was still used under protest. Though she enjoyed a challenge especially one where she can pioneer a procedure and its results, the risks were too high. The risk of death was greater than 50% every time she administered a new treatment to any of her 3 patients. Each responded differently, but the responses were equally violent. She was to receive 11 patients in total. The others would come at a later date however and she needed to prepare the next set of tests.
