Hey, I have been checking around for website designs but I can't seem to find websites of programmers, so I thought to ask you guys to share your websites to see your artistic views on the subject :)
I am really curious of what programming people put in them. Is it projects? Is it CVs? Something different?
If you don't want to share your website but you know of good websites of programmers you can share that too! Thanks :)
Websites
I liked the first one but I loved the second one :)
PS: I will not use any of these websites for anything else apart from satisfying my curiosity so don't hesitate :)
Also if you don't want it to be seen here you can always send a private message too

For you own site I think you should approach it from the opposite end. Don't necessarily just look at emulating what others are doing because you have no way of knowing whether it worked for them or not, or who they try to get to look at their sites, etc...
I would go like this:
1. Who is the website intended for.
2. With those people in mind; what have you got to show, what have you got to say.
3. what's the best way to present your content (there's usually a narrow-band of correct answers to this point in my opinion - the presentation should be interesting and appealing but *never frustrating, slow, or confusing)
To follow any kind of process like this one above, you could look for inspiration at just about any site on the web with the kind of presentation and aesthetic that appeals to you.

no no, nothing to do with making my website or anyone's website, I just want to see what's out there but from programmers as they will probably include things that I would find interesting, its like checking youtube for videos... I want websites by programmers :)

some info about software development, about music (making), about me, etc.. hosted on my home server. recently i redesigned it with a little theoretical help of an arty friend. (not the style per se, but the layout to be more logical, better structured).

If that's not the help you're after then you're going to have to explain the problem better than what you have. - joanusdmentia

It's mostly a mirror of my journal on this site, plus a few "products" (finished, usable projects), "projects" (demos or stuff in development), a rough "gallery" and some awful "tutorials".
