GPU/Monitor problem

So I have an LG Flatron W2753VC monitor which has a HDMI and a DVI sockets, I used to have plugged in my 8800 GT connecting it to my PC and the HDMI one to my mac mini and I would click the source button to swap views...

My PC has a second monitor, the Samsung SyncMaster P2370

Now I changed my 8800 GT with an OCed version of GTX460 tried the same thing but this time when I'm on the mac mini I get flickering :S

Why does it do that with this card and not with the previous?? :S
Ah, I have that exact same card. I went to Fry's Electronics and bought it about three weeks ago. The one I bought was used (I didn't realize it) and it ran okay on my computer. Unfortunately, there was a reason the card was used -- it was defective and it completely shut off my computer several times. I returned it and bought a new one of the same kind and haven't had any problems since.

I don't know if its common for these cards to be defective, but there's always a chance that it is.

The monitor flickers when the mac mini is on display and my pc is on.

The GPU passed a few stress tests I did to it and it works fine...

How can my PC's gpu mess with the mac mini? It seems as if GTX460 is overworking my monitor with data and the mac mini's power is not enough...

EDIT: The color is messed up too, if I reduce the resolution to 1680x1050 then the color is better but it still flickers :S

I take it that the flickering goes away if you unplug from the 460?

Hmm. Have you tried using a different port on the 460? (I assume it has at least 2)

Yep, you think the new GPU is faulty? It doesn't make sense though since it works fine otherwise :S

To be honest I am leaning mostly towards the monitor being faulty. If you are switching inputs with the monitor's onboard controls, then the monitor displaying noise/corruption from a different input is indicative of something very broken.

In the realm of last-ditch possibilities, are you using a dual-link or a standard DVI cable to connect the GTX?
