I was wondering if anyone knew of a complete open source RTS? I''d like to be able to mess with the AI and not have to worry about the other details (read: graphics, etc.....for now

I don''t know of any decent RTS that is open source.. But... you could mess around with quake 3''s bot AI... Make the bots difficulty level not based on accuracy - but rather tactics... if thats even possible.
