I will be trying to follow England, will be tough with most of the matches in the world cup being when I am at work.

I tried following the south africa game via ESPN3 live world cup streaming and I got 1 frame every 20 minutes, was thrilling let me tell you when the next frame appeared!

Will be needing to clear my DVR to make room for as many matches as possible.
I ordered two Vuvuzelas today. Expecting to be evicted before July.

Denmark and USA (dual citizen)

I think the US has the better chance of progressing due to a weaker group. Also the danish national coach makes mind boggling starting eleven selection. Our best attacker Bendtner is injured and might not play - and the guys most likely to fill up the attack in his place haven't scored since 2008.

Other than that I just support teams playing nice attacking football like Mexico, Holland, Spain etc. And any underdog team playing against Germany, Italy or Portugal :D .

Not that keen of England - but would be nice to the them all burst into tears if they finally succeed.
/* what matters most ishow well you walk through thefire. */
In theory England and USA should get out of the group stages with no problems.

In practise we'll lose our first game, draw our second and get through in a nerve wrecking final game of the group... because, ya know, that's what we do... [grin]

ARGENTINA! ARGENTINA! ARGENTINA! ARGENTINA! :) :)

...

To be honest, I'm very scared about what our coach is going to do during this tournament.
We have the players, but nobody here is sure if we have the strategy... We'll see...

Irish people seem to be of the opinion that as long as France drop out early enough then some sense of justice will be ours. This is highly unusual, England is usually the target for such sentiments.

If England were to meet France along the way, I don't know which the team the die hard soccer fans and/or bigots would support. For the majority its just light hearted banter I suspect.

I don't follow soccer too closely, but I'd like to see Spain win.

I suppose it's kind of the same between Scotland and England, although it is rarely pleasant. If you're a thoroughbred Scot supporting England (as I am), prepare for teasing and bullying at the very least. At the very worst, you'll be subjected to outright abuse and possibly some genuine unbridled racism.

As for tonight, I think it'll be a close game but England will just squeeze it. If I was of the gambling persuasion, I'd put a little bit of money on 2-1 to England.
after the lame match last night (i'm in france atm but was cheering for uruguay) i was pleasantly surprised by the south korean's good game. i'm hoping for germany to win of course although i'm not very optimistic this year. apart from that, i'd love to see a match north vs. south korea.
