No one has mentioned Dungeons and Dragons Online? I may be tired of quest grind but the freedom and intricacies in the character building process always draw me back.

Perfect World is another. It's less complex comparatively and has great graphics.

Both are free.
Generally i watch a site like massively.com for a new one.

Now I dont have the time, I played UO for more hours then i could count but i can't sit down infront of an mmo for that long anymore

I played wow, but my work hours stopped me from being able to raid, and i had completed all the sane achievements I could do without raiding so I quit

Im 'playing' eve, as in I log in every couple of days and check i have a skill training, my hours at work are very soon to change, so Im skilling a character up, so when the change comes I have someone with at least the ingame skills

I want to play eve, because the story's I hear on corporate espionage sound like so much fun I want to get involved, i like the fact its possible to have a real impact on the games story.

Ive tried pretty much every free mmo, generally im not looking for pure grind, if that's all it is, then once the easy levels stop, I stop playing.

My ideal game would have robust crafting system, and the possibly of building structures that leave your mark on the world, and the social aspects..which is why im 'playing' eve
