Games & drinks
yes, it's still possible to enjoy PC games. Just mix them with real people & some drinks. Age of mythology? Nice game on its own. but with the following rules: each extra towncenter = 1 shot. Each time you age = 1 shot. Building a titan = 2 shots. Losing = 2 shots for each member of the team. Then it becomes fun. Try it out. Just have a small lan party with a few friends and these rules. Enbjoy!!!
I used to enjoy games and drinks very much playing Quakeworld. In the beginning one of two things would happen.
1) I would run out of drink (usually around 4am)
2) I would have to close one eye to focus on the screen.
Occurances of both these items were always inevitable and usually resulted in having to go to bed. The trick was (and it took a lot of practise) to get the timing right so they occurred at roughly the same time. Thereby resulting in not having to play Quake with no drink, or being unable to play anymore because there was drink left. :)
I also found the next day that more Quake was a pretty good escape from the ravages of a raging hangover and that the "nonchalance" from the hangover also provided a pretty good escape from the players I'd abused the night before. All in all it's a Win Win for Drink and Gaming. :)

Lan-parties were are and will be most fun. We didn't have rules, just drank... (from the age of 15...)
But those days are long gone...

Oh-oh-oh!
System Shock 2 multiplayer! Each time you get killed by a monkey - 1 shot. Each time you get killed by a Midwife - another shot. You're guaranteed to be wasted to boot before getting half way through von Braun.
Incidentally: the ultimate drinking game is Quake. I used to do these endurance runs as Quake is rather short to play through where I had to survive as long as possible on nightmare. The best I did was survive until the middle of the last episode and then died something like 20 times. If you do this in multiplayer, you'll be glad to actually play the game before you get wasted, but especially in multiplayer and with team fraggig you'll end up stark wasted before you kill Shub-Niggurath. Very yes.

As a coincidence, I got out of hard gaming and regular LANs more or less with the end of the Quake3 era. I think Q3A was probably the most enjoyable game to play high on alchol. The higher graphic fidelity meant that some people could just start shooting on the wrong things.
Notably, a friend of mine once started railing a banner (you know, the "environ" shader was a true eye-catcher!) and kept firing for quite a while... I think at least 15 shots, before figuring out nobody was going to die... nor to move.
Previously "Krohm"
World of Warcraft drunk was often a favourite amongst my uni friends-- oh how I miss those times.
When my group of friends all still lived close to each other, we would have LAN/drinking parties. The game of choice usually varied every time, but consisted of Medal of Honor Allied Assault (high school), Halo, Warcraft3, WoW, and Call of Duty 4. Now that we live farther apart, we still play and drink, it's just not on a LAN.
About 2-3 times a month we'll get together on a Friday or Saturday night and drink way too much and talk crap on Modern Warfare 2 for several hours. Sadly as the night goes on and the empty bottles pile up, our smack talking is rather useless as our scores plummet....oh well.
