Hi again, I know this isn't a tech support forum, but you are all very smart and some may have even experienced this problem. I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 on my computer, and now whenever I try to play a professional game on it, the game has extreme lag, and is impossible to play. Most of these games worked fine on Vista. I've installed the latest drivers for my graphics card, and I'm almost 100% sure that my computer is completely up to date. I can't think of what the problem would be. My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4850. The games I've tried to play that lag are Crysis and C&C 3 Tiberium Wars. Again, these games worked just fine on Vista. Thanks

Crysis looks like it has several driver incompatibilities, and they also have a patch related to several Win7 issues.

C&C Tiberium Wars looks to have similar driver issues. Several posts were apparently fixed by increasing the "shaders" setting by a notch or two, since some drivers revert to a compatibility mode when using the older versions.

FWIW, I have the same card (HD 4850) and crysis runs better under win7 x64 than it did under XP (same hw).
