I'm looking for some general formula books that don't focus on implementing specific functions in a particular language, but rather lists and explains several well known, usefull (game/computer/visual) formula's, like plasmas, different kinds of noise and some movement/physics formulas etc. I'm not very good at deciphering mathematical notations though (you know, the symbols that hide somewhere under key combos) so I need some explanation and especially normal math notation, as you would write them out in any programming language. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just list your favorite, most usefull book in regards to programming.
