Solar System Explorer, where you choose some planets, moons, asteroids etc. to send probes to, calculate appropriate launch windows and trajectories, and then follow your probes in real time as they make their way across the solar system. Will your probes reach their destination? Will their instruments fail along the way? Will a Metric/Imperial mixup cause your probe to crash land on Europa? Find out in twelve years!

Paint Drying Simulator.

This would require a few tweaks and slightly more extended gameplay, but it's actually a fantastic idea for touch screen interfaces. Just needs some work.

Also add stuff like turning the phone so that moisture evaporates more quickly, or so that really wet paint settles more evenly across screen.

Perhaps add a challenge mode, where you need to apply 5 layers of paint, and whenever you paint over wet portions, the colors smear, then score according to quality of final painting.

Add ability to import custom bitmaps, apply some artistic filter, then require finger painting to paint-by-numbers, but keeping in mind that colors dry at different rates.

Add micropayment model to purchase fans, hair dryers and similar. Set them up to speed up drying, but leave them facing same spot, and the paint cracks or burns.

Expansion pack: Tatoo artist. Similar challenge, but as you paint, the color smears and obscures the template, and you have only a limited number of wipes, or you lose points for wiping. Winner is one who most accurately reproduces the template. Works on touch phones as well. Hard mode is pressure-sensitive, press too hard, and you damage the skin.
Slug Race!

You compete as slug against your friends in a race! Who will be the first to reach the finish?

Watch out for obstacles such as leaves, sticks, stones, and the dreaded salt.

Tune your slug, such as adding spoilers to the snail shell, neon lights, or custom slime!

3... 2... 1... GO!

Dammit, this is brilliant. It's like Eve, but with tension.

PS - real snails don't need lube.
