Complex building interior from Maya model

Hi all, I have a pretty intricate model which took a significant amount of time to put together. It has a detailed interior that I would like to use as the world geometry (and, ideally, textures) for a fps. Does anyone have any advice as to what the conversion tool pipeline should be? We have managed to export the mesh through OpenCollada, but we're having difficulties getting thing to look right, for the textures to be mapped properly (etc.) The smallest amount of guidance would be hugely appreciated.
Doesn't it sort of depend on what engine you're using?

Moved to Visual Arts. You may have better luck getting an answer there than Game Design.

Yes -- we are flexible, though, engine-wise. The most important thing for us is the model.
