BJJ in the olympics?
Since Rio De Janeiro has been selected to host the 2016 olympics, what do you think the chances are that they'll add Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the games?

Not likely at all. They already have Judo, which it is based on. If karate can't make the cut for the Olympics with serious effort, why would they include BJJ just because Brazil will be the host country, when they have something similar already?
Judo is mostly throws and they only allow for about 15 seconds of groundwork. BJJ is pretty much all groundwork. I think there is a lot more contrast between BJJ and Judo than there is between Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling.

they sometimes do, as a demonstration sport. If it sticks, it can make it to the JOs. That's how Taekwondo started, among others IIRC.
Everything is better with Metal.
Doesn't the host country get to add a single sport? I think I heard that somewhere, but I'm not sure where.
Anyway, to someone not interested in fighting, I don't see the difference between other fighting types. Given two people in the different sports, both could kick my butt, and both would look cool doing it.
