Politics aside, this is just wrong.

So how do you plan on righting this wrongness? That's what this thread is about, right?

I doubt they even understand politics. Also the lyrics aren't that bad unless you're really against Obama's plans. Looks like people overreacting again. Though I wonder what that was for. Maybe a musical the teachers had to throw together quickly? Honestly I find the
>Jay Leno and Limbaugh micro-debate more interesting.
(Limbaugh was more prepared it would seem).
Whoa, Limbaugh's not fat anymore! Good for him.

Remember Codeka is my alternate account, just remember that!
You all know damn well if "Barack Hussein Obama" was replaced with "Jesus Christ", then everyone would shit all over it. Discredit the teacher. Infringing upon religious right. WHICH IT WOULD BE! ...but why are the words so different if you have Obama in there, or Jesus Christ???

Everyone thinks this is my Obama attack. It could be anyone, it is giving false prophet to anyone (not just because she used 'Obama').

The problem with this is that these kids don't know anything about the president for or against him. It is false idolizing.

"Oh your just against Obama. Besides kids should respect their presidents."

The song should just say "Mr. President". And this has 0 to do with Obama. Obama did not directly tell this woman to do this. It has to do with schools becoming corrupt in my opinion.

Anyone that is going to attack: What if it said "China you are the best nation. Your growth is positive. We buy goods from you. You lent us money"

It is the same as I am claming: forcing political opinions onto children.

Politics aside? Hah! It's political and wrong to assume those children were forced. Michael Savage tried to make a big deal of this on his show yesterday. This clip is supposed to justify the opposition to Obama's back to school address to children, even though it's from June.

"Hooray Mr. President, the first black American to be president" - the lyrics are garbled. I don't trust anyone who's angry about this to honestly report the facts of the case - such as the complete lyrics to the song. Michael Savage? Michelle Malkin? - well known fabricators. Why are they upset with school children singing a song about the President? Would they get upset with children singing songs about Washington and Lincoln? What about Roosevelt? What about Reagan? Would they get upset if children were taught to sing songs like "This Land is Your Land" or "Puff the Magic Dragon" or "If I Had a Hammer"? I bet they would.

Are the people upset with this video associated with the people who say that health care reform will establish school-based clinics of indoctrination? (School health clinics would not provide abortions) Don't they see this as part of a larger pattern?

Do the people upset with this video get upset when they see parents using their kids to push politics at tea party protests? (The Appalling Use of Children as Messengers of Hate and Fascism) I bet they see that as cute and darling and tell the children how great it is that they're being brought up in the righteous truth.

Have the people upset with this video done anything to hold accountable those agents of the United States who tortured children as part of the war on terror? (Torturing Children: Bush's Legacy and Democracy's Failure). I bet they see that as righteous and would clap their hands, stomp their feet and cheer as loudly as they could if they could see that for themselves...

Seeing how Obama is the current president what is the problem with using his name? Maybe if it was a song singing about the praises of Hitler and the Nazis I could really see getting upset by it. For the record I didn't vote for Obama.
I think my first paragraph (which may have been edited in after you typed this), is the best point I have.

What if I went in there and said: "Ron Paul is awesome. Guns are good. There is a company that steals all our money calld the Federal Reserve." You wouldn't be pissed???? My ass dude. I still would be pissed, they are just too young.

And maybe you didn't read the lyrics because they were strictly political! :(

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
For all your great accomplishments

Obama is the President. Jesus is a religious figure. That's a huge difference, so huge, so obvious, it makes me wonder why you asked that question at all.

It is an attack on Obama. The uproar is because the song is about Obama. There would be no uproar if the song was about Paul Bunyan or John Henry or Daniel Boone or Davy Crockett. You're right that those kids don't know much about the President for or against him, but you're wrong that it's false idolizing. The song is about the first black president. The kids know that and that's enough. And it means that the song has everything to do with Obama, as do the complaints. I'm disgusted that grown adults would seek to insert their political agenda into this mess by trying to cast this harmless exercise as something nefarious.

That sounds like a song the chamber of commerce would get behind...
