Hi gurus!! I heard that you shouldn´t do state changes in displaylists !!! Now, my questions: 1. Is this right ?? 2. What does this mean ??? thanks Matl
I''m no guru, but the fact that the Red Book has a section on (and I quote) "Managing State Variables with Display Lists" (page 277), I don''t think that is true.

Once you make a display list - you cannot change anything inside of it once it is created! To rotate, pan, or zoom the object created in the display list you have to do your transform first, and then call your display list. You cannot (don''t quote me here) have a variable inside of a display list that you change from outside of the display list. (got that?!).
Sorry if it''s confusing - I can psot some code if you need me too.

aha that´s what i want to know
