Any semi-hardcore online publishers out there?
I need some business advice on selling my game. Yes, I know google can give me articles on the subject, but all the articles I've come across deal with casual games. Although my game has cartoony graphics, the game isn't really casual. It's basically a 3D flight shooter which will be available for pc and mac.
I read articles saying that "indie games should look to places like Popcap and Bigfish to publish there games," but my game really doesn't fit in with those.
Casual games are typically 2D, simple, puzzle games, were as mine is 3D, has shooting, a story, and tools for custom content.
Are there any online publishers out there that cater to the more "hardcore" or "semi-hardcore" crowd of gamers?
I've read articles stating that there's more money for indies with casual games, but personally, I don't care if my game makes less money--I would rather make something that I enjoy.
Also, if anyone has worked with these semi-hardcore game publishers, could you let me know how the experience was and how easy the process was.
EDIT: I've been looking at some of the games at Garage Games. Most of the 3d games published appear to match my style, however, I'd like to get some more suggestions.

Like Tom says, you might want to check with those companies to see if your game is a candidate. There's also Impulse, done by the StarDock guys (GalCiv, Sins of a Solar Empire, Demigod). Their publishing info seems to indicate that they're open to smaller games.
Are you wanting a publisher or a distributor? If the latter, here are some distribution options you have.
Some 'core game' portals:
Steam
Impulse
Greenhouse
Manifesto (RIP??)
Another option you have, is using "affiliation" -- basically on your website you sell other similar indie games for commission and the other dev does the same for your game. Affiliates are usually linked through payment processors like BMT, RegNow, etc. To do this you'd need to find developers of games you want to sell your game, get the proper payment processing account, and of course, make an agreement with the developer.
