TRINE: Another good reason on why I'll never be able to do something like this alone
Have you seen ">this game? Damn. The art is outstanding, such a good taste. On every scroll of the screen is simply beautiful. It also implements physics gracefully into the gameplay. Has anyone played this thing? What you think?
[size="2"]I like the Walrus best.
If you can't do it alone that's why you assemble together a team.
And no I haven't played that game yet.

I am thoroughly intrigued by this title. It's kinda like Castlevania III meets LittleBigPlanet.
-----------------------Or, as I put it, MMORPG's are currently about attaining two primary things: strength and a shovel. The rest is you just shoveling sh** endlessly trying to get stronger to shovel more sh** so you can look for the next new shovel to shovel more sh** with. Once you are done, you can stand on top of a large pile of sh**, raise your golden sh** shoveler up high into the air and boast how proud you are to be the best sh** shoveler of them all. -Griffin_Kemp
Reminds me of The Lost Vikings a bit. :) Thanks for the shout though, I'll have to try this out.
From watching the video I feel they have a few issues with the level's fore and backgrounds. There were more than a few spots where the foreground obscured the level, and where the background suggested game elements that weren't actually there.
But looks like a fun little game I'll have to pick up sometime.

I did get this impression - like if I were in that situation I'd walk "into" the screen rather than continuing on the same plane which, if the environment were real, would seem a far less logical place to go
Besides the art Trine doesn't offer much of an experience IMHO.
- Limited puzzles/Levels
- No character balance
- No Co-op besides local
- Short unimportant narrative story
- Difficulty settings seem the same (All easy even on hardest)
- Limited replay-ability
I know on Steam its only $30 at the moment but if it's $30 you’re not sure about spending I'd suggest reading up a bit more on it.

The art is beautiful, and I thought the device of your three characters arguing with each other as you advanced through the level was interesting.
I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
I can tell you now that the parts where the characters argue with each other is near non exsistant. Its shameful it might even be considered aspect of the game. I think in total its like a whole 20 seconds worth of speech throughout the entire game.
I know I might seem to be totally one sided about this game but I've bought plenty of games based on reviews and just through impluse buys and I'd hate to see other people spend money on Trine expecting one thing and getting something completely different.
