Hi there In the near future i need characters to walk around in my application (city traffic simulation, non-commercial). So far i have found only one that is suitable (the "Tiny" model coming with the DirectX SDK). I am not an artist, i do not own any 3D modeling software (though a friend does), so i ask you guys, whether you know any website that has free models of humans, which include animations (walking). It would be great, if i could get them in the .x format, but it seems that format is not very popular, 3ds seems much more popular. Therefore i'd like to ask, whether anyone knows, how difficult it is to convert a 3DS file with animations to an x file. If this is easy, i can keep looking for 3ds files and ask a friend to convert it for me. Otherwise maybe it is best for me to stick to the one model, that i already have. Also, does anyone know a GOOD 3ds viewer which support animations? I have been looking for hours, but all i find is either not for free or really, really bad. I am very grateful for any tips, that you can give me. Jan.
