I became acquainted with the freeorion project very recently after I launched my blog about space strategy games. The reason for this post is to introduce the project in the gamedev community, where I understand that many of you already are acquainted with the project, many may still not. I became quite interested in this project so I decided to write an article about it to help spread the word and make a status point on the project.
