Hi, I was just wondering if there was anyone from the video game industry near Redmond, WA who would want to see some student games headed for the IGF competition. We've got a presentation next week at DigiPen Institute of Technology open to industry professionals to showcase 6 or 7 games.

My team's game Attack of the 50ft Robot! will be featured. The game is based on classic sci-fi B movies from the 50s. You can check out an old video from April at www.attackofthe50ftrobot.com. The website will be updated some time next week with new footage. Last Saturday we presented, along with 3 other games from my class, to Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy composer), while he was in town for his concert. He liked our game, so hopefully any one of you can see it and enjoy it too.

Please send me a PM if you would like to come. I'm not necessarily expecting it, but I don't want a huge mass of people showing up with no spot to sit just by only reading this post. Plus I can provide updated information if needed. This invitation would have been more formal, but 1) I don't know exactly all the companies in the area and 2) my teacher has yet to write up an invitation letter, so we're all getting a little worried.

Thank you all.

PS. Nobuo loves wearing cros and bandannas. He actually seems like an average Joe that just makes good music. Quite funny too.
Congratulations on completing your game!

Next week on Wednesday, there's going to be the "Casual Connect" games conference in Seattle. There'll be a lot of developers there, so you and your team could meet some good contacts.

As for game companies in redmond, most of them are probably going to be directly involved with Microsoft... like Bungie studios. You could probably find them all by doing some searching on the internet.
