RPGs and the Round Table
By far, the one of the most favorable rpg setting is somewhere in medieval times however, it is not the only setting. Anyone care to share their opinion of a perfect setting in an rpg?

The Renaissance can make for a great setting, as could the industrial revolution. the 1920s and 30s have options that could be interesting and I rarely see played with. Stone age settings, bronze age, early iron age.
The entire history of the world and our imaginations of the future are open to development, and yet we tend to get a horrible mashup of medieval to mid-Renaissance stuff thrown into a half assed world.

Thanks a lot :). I appreciate your intelligent response and I totally agree with it. You would think we can could come up with some sort of diversity but everyone seems to be stuck on our rpg roots with the dungeons and dragons attitude. And don't get me wrong, there are some series that blow everything out of the water like The Legend of Zelda, but after awhile, it gets old.
