Hi, I''m working on a strategy game ( starcraft style ) and I could really need some help with it. The units can move around and shoot each other and a map can be loaded. Done in DX 7.0 with Dinput and DDraw support. Source/Binary can be downloaded when I find a acceptable server... If you want to work with me on that project please mail me then I will send you the stuff. Why I''M doing this ? Cause it''s too much work for 1 person. your comment ''doesn''t look so amazing'' kinda bothered me... so much in fact I''ll write an entire post about it A game dosn''t have to look outstanding to be good, ::GASP:: isn''t the real reason games are fun is that they are... umm.. fun? I can easily spend 50 bucks at an arcade playing Pac-Man not because it''s exelent raster graphics or even the ''bleeping'' sounds, no... because it is just fun to go around eatting those little damn yellow things. And also, a game isn''t going to look amazing w/o an artist working for you. Starcraft is just a bunch of rendered pictures of the units walking around. Thats all... so if you had some oober artist working for you yeah, it would look amazing. But it can not be ''amazing'' and contain the exact same code. Does that make sense? Long story short, don''t judge yourself to professional standards until you start getting paid like one.
