What I''m looking for in the book is this: -Doesn''t require you to know C beforehand (and that EXCLUDES books that "teach" it in an appendix or like one tiny chapter) Any ideas?

To be very honest I always like buying books that I''ll use for more than "21 days" or "18 hours" so most of the SAMS series of "Teach yourself C++" are off the list.
The two C++ books I highly reccomend are:

C++ Primer Plus by Steven Prata and The C++ language by Bjarne Stroustrup (One of the creators of the language).

C++ Primer Plus is a better starters book, than the C++ language.

These books will be in your library for years. Which makes them invaluable.
