I actually just found out about this and i was wondering two things 1) Is it right? as it seemed as if they abandoned the game and didnt care for it. 2) Can they really sue? if you ask me it sounds as if Activision was probally a little jealous because of the success and high anticipation for the game, ever since EA decided to publish it. for more info about it: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/59034 and its on this website too.

This is all about contracts and agreements, which I don't know the details of. "You didn't care enough" isn't much of legal claim. It sounds to me that Double Fine should have consulted their company lawyers before going this route. But again, it's all speculation, I don't know all the ins and outs of this particular case.

Sure, everybody can sue. I don't know if Activision has a chance to win it, but they can definitely sue.

i think jowood wanted to sue pirhana bytes for their unfinished game of gothic 3..not sure.

i just dont understand how this is working. they've got a contract and a deadline. if they dont finish it on time, they just dont get paid after the realse date, or get another contract. why publishing houses bash artists? thats really bad approach for the market, thats why most released games are so medicore(not indie games)
