Ive got a large amount of existing code ive collected making various stuff. I want to make this code avaible to people im working with, however I want to maintain control over it and am not sure exactly how to do so, some sort of lisence I guess but what should it say and is there an existing lisence that does what I want?
  • I still own the code, and can use it for whatever I want
  • They may use this code on this one project, if I leave they can continue to use it for this project, however they may not use it on any other projects, and I dont have to provide any support (updates, bugfixes, etc)
  • They may only redistribute in binary forms with the agreed project, they may not redistribute the source
I don't know of any common licenses out there that work as you describe.

The best bet is to contact a lawyer familiar with copyright law and computer software. If they don't already have that kind of license, they should be able to make one relatively easily.
