Andre LaMothe
I think your wrong. LaMothe does many things to help young developers. But he can't help every induvidual person. Are you a member in his buisness, what it was called. Then I think he would help you otherwise not. He have a buisness to run and can't help everyone who asks him.

I approached Andre for help with my game
and all he was interested in was a
finished product. He says on his site that
he will help with artwork and programming
but when I emailed him he said all of his artists were taken. So I think what he says about helping developers make games
is misleading.
You also have to think about the fact that he may not have people just waiting around for someone new to show up and say "Help me".
If hes doing his job, all his artists will be matched with programmers who will be working on games. Which means new people will either need to find others to help them, ask others associated with the site if they want to assist on your project too, or finish the project with programmer art to prove that having an artist help you is worth their time.
After all, if the games code wont ever be finished, its pretty pointless to get an artist to help out and waste their time.
Most of the time games can be done with simple programmer art, so I would suggest trying that.
