Hardest Guitar Game (GH/RB/...)

To all the Guitar Heros or Rock Banders, which game do you think is the most difficult (in single-player guitar mode for the band-type games)? I've completed GH:World Tour and Rock Band (RB2 isn't available in Australia :/), but I've still got 2 songs left to complete on both GH2 and GH3. Also, are any of the other franchises (besides GH and RB) any good? IMO, the timing has to be more precise in GH2 and RB, making it harder in general, but GH3 probably has the hardest songs overall. GH:WT was disappointingly easy.
Rock Band 1 and 2 are fairly easy on the guitar side, since they're more about the social experience than they are difficulty. Everyone always goes on about how difficult Green Grass and High Tides is, but once you start using the solo keys it's quite easy. As a matter of fact I use the solo keys exclusively now -- much easier to use in general and you don't have to transition for solos.

On GH3 you have Devil Went Down to Georgia and Through the Fire and Flames, so those two songs alone put GH3 up there in terms of difficulty. The songs leading up to those could give you a run for your money. GH1 was tough due to the absolutely brutal hammer-ons and hammer-offs, and GH2 was a little easier but still a challenge. GH3 was extremely hard but fun, and I've found GH:WT to be quite easy as well (plus I probably dislike the track list the most out of all the GH and Rock Band games).

So my vote is for GH3 being the most difficult. However I'm a very sad panda at the moment since my PS2 broke, most my Guitar Hero's were for PS2, and I don't feel like buying one just for Guitar Hero :/ So unfortunately it's just GH:WT and Rock Band 1 for me at the moment.

Out of GH 1-3, GH3 has the toughest note charts and GH1 has the easiest - however, GH3 has much looser timing than GH1 (I'm yet to hit a single HOPO in GH1, they got a lot easier in GH2 and are an absolute doddle in GH3).

Overall, I beat GH1 the first time I played through it; I'm two songs from beating GH2 and two tiers from beating GH3 (playing Expert in all cases).

GH3 through fire and flames on expert is retarded. That alone puts it ahead. Some frets on fire custom modules are hard as well. Just thought I would throw that out there.
I was influenced by the Ghetto you ruined.

Don't forget about Devil Went Down to Georgia and the three other Dragonforce songs you can download in GH3 if you have the PS3 or 360 version; they're all just as hard, if not harder, than Fire and Flames.
We're going to be able to enjoy a new version of Through The Fire And Flames (along with a bunch of previous GH songs) when the greatest hits comes out. TTFAF should be fun in band too...

As for the original question, GH is easier than RB. Other guitar games are of much lower quality than those two.

GH1 and GH2 are ridiculously easy (GH1 has by far the most fun song list to play on expert though). GH3 is much harder. Raining Blood is by far harder than Through the Fire and Flames though.

Rock Band and World tour aren't that challenging (although I haven't spent much time with World Tour on expert yet, just haven't had the urge to play it much).
Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero World Tour: Metallica have songs that are beyond my ability
For those that haven't seen it yet, check out the Southpark GH Episode

(btw, I like the games-- was just pretty funny)

I can't imagine anyone getting a perfect 100% on max difficulty TtFaF- song is nuts.

Then don't search for it on YouTube, or you may never want to pick up a plastic guitar again. It still depresses me - mainly cause I can only get 70% of the way through Devil Goes Down to Georgia, and still can't make it past the opening riff of TTFaF.

I haven't played a lot of RB but what I have played was way easier than the charts for any of the GH games.

Regarding the first GH and hammer-ons/pull-offs - the reason they were such a bitch is because they were modeled after an acoustic guitar, not an electric. So you had to hold down all the notes and couldn't single-tap them. Much more technical - I never got the hang of it.
