This is my first time, i am entering into the game business with mine first developed game for PC. Here are the following things that i have decided to go with after looking all previous posts. Please let me know if there is anything missing that i should do or about anything i am doing wrong. -secure the game and its content with copyright protection. -Develop a good e-Commerce website from where customer can download the demo and purchase with full version. -Put game in game portals. -Put game demo in CNET download site and also in some others site. -Use google adwords, gaming forums, press releases, newsletter announcements, major review sites, blog, community forums for marketing. -Enter the Independent Games Festival. -Meanwhile send game demo to all publishers and if anyone shown interest then hit the deal button with all legal papers.
Seems you have most of the bases covered. Just don't forget that while doing all that work to sell game #1 you also need to start making game #2.

There is still one thing stuck in my mind, should i wait a few weeks for the publisher response rather of just start selling with my own logo. If i start selling now without waiting for their response, will it hamper the deal with publisher later or will create some troubles in finalizing the deal with them??

Of course because games for you are expendable, just create 10 games that look exacly the same and have a little story variation and diffrent gui (so user doesnt thing its the same game). And enjoy the profits, its quantity of created games that matters, not its quality.

"Expendable" isn't a word I have ever heard used in regard to games. Seems quite an odd attitude to me and not one I share. I guess there are companies out there that just change a game's graphics and reissue it but I think that's an awful way to make a living and not something I would enjoy. Still if that's what you want go ahead.

Dammit...Where is this conversation heading to....answer mine nxt questions please ?
(@past few comments) I think kids are far smart now days though and hundreds of game releasing each year either. Do you really think you can survive in this competitive and creative industry with cheating customers. Its all about the quality not quantity. In fact no body like collecting change money i guess.

I am talking about the same title i want to get deal from publisher and start selling on my own without waiting weeks may be months.

If a publisher wants to take your game, this should not be a problem. They'd want you then to stop selling it yourself, of course.

Diner Dash? Casual gamers will often buy sequels or clones which have the exact same gameplay style but new levels... I don't imagine it's that rewarding as a developer but people are different.
