I am surprised that WOW is supposed to be very casual for all the people I know who play mmo's do it in an extreme way, even my own employees sometimes come in the morning with red eyes :)
But I do recognize it to be a major successful achievement, both in getting people to play and to make them stay.
Personally, I am more a console type of guy than a Mmo type especially for the fact that I like endings, even if all of them failed to deliver satisfaction that I yearned for. (For extra info, I stopped playing RPG's at FF7, and am more into 360's arcade games and wii games, than Halo and such, tough I really like adventures games like zelda and such...)
So when the designers tell me I cannot even remotely think to know the target audience, are they being a bit arrogant ?
