XP - manually install drivers, WITHOUT the device present in system

Currently working on a project - which may hopefully turn into an awesome IT blog post when it's all done - in which I install drivers and software on a virtual machine, create an image via clonezilla, then deploy the image on various "real" computers (some of which may or may not have ALL the devices for the drivers I installed) without needing to install any additional drivers. So, the question I pose now is; is it possible to install a device driver in windows XP when the system does not have the device presently installed? (i.e without a setup wizard and without "device manager") [Edited by - BTownTKD on April 22, 2009 2:42:44 PM]
