I have been reading up about modal synthesis and other techniques to modulate sounds but they all dont show you a good example of doing so. I understand most of concepts (sometimes it is a bit confusing) but if there as an example of code sampling a wav sound ( metal clash sound ) and then modulate it to sound a bit different. Has anyone done this before? If so could you explain it. I have a rough idea that you sample the sound. Then you take chunks of the sound and combine it with carrier wave of different frequencies? therefore producing the final modulated output sound? Im not really sure, please Help.
