hard drive problem
Hey guys, I hope it's okay to post this in the forums.
This morning I let my roommate borrow my sata cable. Well I got it back, plugged it in correctly, and have not been able to get my sata drive to show up in windows. It displays the correct information in bios, and I even booted into a linux distro and it worked perfectly.
I have been to the disk management tool, and it does not see the drive. It also doesn't show up under "disk drives" in the device manager. I'm really at a lost as to what else to try.
Does anyone have any ideas. I know the drive works fine since it worked correctly in linux. Thanks in advanced.

This seems really wierd, you could always try reinstalling the drivers for the SATA controller (Its just a wild guess)

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

Perhaps the drive is now in AHCI mode instead of IDE "emulation" mode?
