There's second iteration of my game...
">Youtube video (annotated)
Version with static fractal background: Windows | Linux (both 32 and 64 bit builds) | Mac OS X (Intel) Updates: much improved engine, enemy models generated on the fly. screenie (from old version): goal: shot the red blobs, avoid getting shot, collect green thingies (bonus pods). There is two bonuses, faster shots and auto-aim. Use mouse wheel as throttle. Keyboard controls are currently mostly broken, sorry. Didn't have time to draw proper icons yet or to make more enemies. Also, currently game is kinda too easy (needs uberbosses etc :) ). Comments/critique is welcome. Especially bug reports. If it is anyhow misbehaving, post log here inside [ source ] tags. edit:updated links. [Edited by - Dmytry on March 20, 2009 7:14:11 AM]
Looks very interesting. I'll give it a shot when I get to the office tomorrow.

Downloading, will give feed back. Why is it that I respond to posts, but I cannot bring myself to go to the showcase and download every project and give feedback like I should?
I was influenced by the Ghetto you ruined.
It looked a lot uglier on my computer than in your screenshot.

see.

In fact, I couldnt really play.

Thanks for report. Can you paste console output? (preferably full including initialization). I have rather heavy problems with ATI.
Does this also fail?

I'm using half-float textures a lot, looks like those are not fully supported on your card (interpolation does not seem to work), and it also looks like big non square textures are not supported either (fonts look bad).
I got an error message when starting.
Did you know there is a separate forum 'your announcements' for WIP projects and such? You might get more feedback there.

On my comp (Win XP, ATI 4670) there's a green overlay that disappears whenever UI is shown.
Dump is empty but the console outputs lines of "invalid operation" for "set background shader parameter", "glVertexAttributePointer", "prepare for background drawing".
Despite that it's still playable.

"your announcements" seems pretty much dead (judging by number of threads with 0 replies).

hmm can you make screenshot with green overlay, please? Also, full exact log would help. It is quite difficult for me to make it work on ATI.... things fail for most bizzare reasons.

Nothing in the dump file, but the console was filled with
glVertexAttribPointer: error invalid operationprepare for background drawing: error invalid operationset background shader parameters: error invalid operation
repeated infinitely. The game was playable and fully operational, but didn't look as pretty as your screenshot.

Here's what I get when I toggle the interface (press 'u'):

System Configuration
Dell Optiplex 755
intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8600 @ 3.33Ghz
3.2GHz, 3.25 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT
