Scaling question
I have asked this twice. Once in an email to TANSTAAFL and once in another thread but no answers. I thought I would give it a go again.
I would like some opinions on determining a scale for an iso map. How many feet does the width of a tile usually represent? What would the scale be in a game like Diablo, for instance? What is a standard size of a tile: 64x32, 96x64, 32x16?
Any other hints and/or comments on scale?

Does it really matter? I mean... 99% of games won''t care about the scale, largely cos a lot of them use some sort of distorted scale anyway. Surely the best answer is to choose your tile size based on programming and artistic needs, decide how many pixels high a person is going to be, and there, you have your scale, based on that person''s sprite.
