try GAudio 1.0, it supports .mod, .mp3, .wav and .xm files.

Does anyone know of a MOD/XM Library compatible with DX, or does anyone have any source code to load and play a MOD file?

I havent used DirectMusic yet, is it anygood?

...or you can try the ModPlug SDK that plays all the best known MOD-Formats (.S3M, .XM, .IT, .MTM....)
