I intend to become a Game Designer, fortunately I''m a coder and even if I don''t have all the details, I think it won''t be very hard to implement my ideas.

BTW, I may drop my job at the end of the month, any french firm near Paris wanting to recruit me ??

Ah, with all due respect, if you don't have the details then what makes you think it's easy?

Will the rune creator be easy? You should have a spell editor of some sort. Okay, you probably have it clearer in your head so it will be easier for you.

Do you intend or did you intend to be a designer? I doubt if there's any harm in doing both designing and programming.

AS you said it''s clearer in my head, and I also have paper written about it, so picture comes easily.
some aspects are tricky for sure.

I''m not a professional game designer, but I would like to become one, I''m working on some designs to learn the basics by myself.
I''m a professional coder, and I don''t plan to stop coding.
I''m also fortunate enough to be a ''good'' story writer.
''good'' is subjective, but it''s how other people defines my skill in this domain, I would say I''m very good

In fact in the game industry AFAIK you''d better have many skills, and skills that are usefull through all dev steps.
(which is understandable)
