Is there any OpenGL code available that renders all the characters of the alphabet using vertex data, similar to example 7.5 in the OpenGL Programming Guide, v1.1?

Yeah its
glTexFont
. Nate's got some other really cool examples on his site too, e.g bsp trees, bezier-patches...
