Hi boys, i''m making a 3d importer with lightwave 5, it''s function well but i have a big problem. I know that lwo don''t use u,v coords, and i don''t understand how lightwave realized texture mapping and which chunks i need. Can anyone tell me where find info, doc, tut, function about it? Excuse for bad english,i''m italian.... Thanks Matthiew
UV coords allow for a Quake like skin file. One file which holds the face, the outfit, the gun skin, etc. Because the LWO 5.0 format doesn''t support UV coords it means that every texture on your model can''t be located in one file. So your Face on your model will be in a face.tif, and your pants will be in pants.tif. Each of the texutres is still applied to the model but instead of having 2 levels of control on how the texture is applied (Two levels being which part of the texture is shown, and the points to locate it at on the model) you only have 1 level of control just the points to locate the texture on the model.

I hope this cleared things up for you.
