level loading
So far, I''ve been able to load my Halflife and Quake3 models and such in an OpenGL window. The next step seems to be able to load a level in BSP format or whatever. I''ve read about BSP and portal loading, and some questions arose. First, how would I sort portal data into files? Would it be possible to take a BSP file and load it into a portal engine? Secondly, I''ve found resources on how to load Quake 2 bsp''s, but not Quake 3. I don''t even HAVE quake 2, so it''s hard to experiment with the Quake 2 loader. I can''t find any resources on Quake 3 BSP and rendering, and any resources/information would be very much appreciated.
